How NOMOS handles personal information.

This notice applies to the NOMOS website, account and sign-in features, guided contract-preparation service, document generation and delivery, purchases, and support. It covers information about account holders and information about other people that an account holder includes in a contract matter.

NOMOS is designed for United States transactions and is not a law firm. Sending information to NOMOS does not create an attorney-client relationship or make that information protected by attorney-client privilege.

Account and authentication information may include your title, name, verified email address, password hash, account and session identifiers, optional passkey credentials when enabled, and records of your acceptance of the Terms. NOMOS does not store your readable password.

Contract and document information includes the messages, names, roles, contact details, transaction facts, business terms, choices, instructions, and files you provide; the briefs, drafts, completed documents, and related files the service creates; and information used for quality review and document correction support. Contract content may include personal or sensitive information about you or other people.

Purchase and support information may include the items purchased, price, currency, checkout and payment identifiers, payment status, fees, refunds, support tickets, document references, messages, and related communications. Payment-card details are collected through the payment processor's checkout. NOMOS receives transaction information and payment status, not your complete card number or security code.

Technical and usage information may include session and cookie identifiers, IP address and request information used to protect the service and limit abuse, and information about visits to public pages when public-site analytics is enabled. We receive information from you, from payment and other service providers involved in a transaction, and automatically from your browser or device when you use the service.

We use personal information to create and secure accounts; conduct the guided contract interview; prepare, store, deliver, and support contract projects; process purchases; send account, delivery, security, and service communications; prevent misuse; investigate errors; maintain reliable operations; comply with law; enforce the Terms; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

When public-site analytics is enabled, we also use information about visits to public pages to understand how the public website is used. Customer contract information is not published in the NOMOS public contract-guide library.

NOMOS uses third-party AI infrastructure and model providers to conduct the guided interview and prepare contract-related output. To provide the requested service, NOMOS sends those providers the contract conversation, relevant facts and selections, prior or approved output, language settings, and service instructions needed for the request. NOMOS also keeps operational records about AI calls, such as the provider and model used, status, token counts, cost, and errors.

AI systems can produce incomplete or incorrect output. Review every document before relying on, sharing, or signing it. Do not include passwords, complete payment-card details, government identification numbers, health information, or unrelated confidential material. If sensitive information is genuinely necessary for a matter, provide only what is needed.

We disclose information to providers that support payments, email delivery, AI processing, hosting, private file storage, public-site analytics, security, and technical operations according to the function they perform. Authorized NOMOS personnel may access information when needed to operate, secure, support, or review the service.

We may also disclose information when you direct us to involve another person; when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or misuse, or enforce the Terms; or as part of a proposed or completed merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, as permitted by law.

NOMOS uses essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in, session security, and service continuity. For example, a short-lived, HTTP-only cookie may preserve the beginning of an intake while you proceed to sign in.

If public-site analytics is configured, Google Analytics runs on selected public pages, not in the private builder, account, checkout, or contract-project areas. Public analytics may receive the page viewed, page URL and title, and standard browser, device, cookie, and network information. Browser controls can limit or delete cookies, although blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other service functions.

Retention depends on the type of information, why it was collected, legal and accounting requirements, security needs, disputes, and service-provider settings.

You may request deletion of an active contract project from the Account page. The service displays the scheduled deletion date. When that date arrives, the current deletion process removes stored project files and clears the core conversation, brief, draft, pricing, and review content. A project-deletion request does not automatically delete your account or every record associated with the project. Purchase, checkout, Terms-acceptance, support, email-delivery, security, and audit records may be retained when needed for the purposes described in this notice.

Service providers may retain information under their applicable service configuration, agreement, and legal requirements. A separate request may be needed to exercise a broader deletion right available under applicable law.

NOMOS uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including private storage for delivered files and account- and role-based access controls. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password, registration and password-reset links, devices, downloaded documents, and any copies you share secure, and contact NOMOS if you believe your account or information has been accessed without permission.

You can review active projects and request project deletion from the Account page. Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; to use an authorized agent; to appeal a decision; and to receive equal service when you exercise a privacy right.

Use the Contact page to submit a privacy request. NOMOS may need information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, account, or authority to act for another person. Do not include passwords, complete payment-card details, private contracts, or unrelated confidential material in the first message. NOMOS will respond as required by applicable law.

NOMOS is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly seek their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to NOMOS, use the Contact page so the matter can be reviewed and appropriate steps can be taken.

We may update this notice when the service, our information practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows when the current version took effect. If a change materially affects how previously collected personal information is used, NOMOS will provide additional notice or seek consent when required by law.
