Terms for using NOMOS Contracts.

These Terms govern your use of the NOMOS website, account, contract-preparation tools, purchases, document delivery, and support. Please read them carefully.

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your access to and use of the NOMOS website, account, contract-preparation tools, document delivery, purchases, and support (together, the service). By accepting these Terms or using a part of the service that requires acceptance, you agree to them. You may use the service only if you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the law that applies to you. If you use NOMOS for a company or another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to act for and bind that party to these Terms.

What NOMOS provides

NOMOS provides self-directed contract-preparation tools, document delivery, and general educational information for United States transactions. The service helps you organize information and prepare a document from the choices and information you provide. It does not decide what legal terms you should accept or what course of action is best for you.

AI-assisted service

NOMOS uses automated and AI-assisted systems to organize information and prepare document language. These systems can misunderstand information or produce text that is inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or out of date. Automated checks do not replace your review or the judgment of a qualified lawyer. You must evaluate the complete document before relying on, sharing, or signing it.

NOMOS is not a law firm

NOMOS is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or attorney services. NOMOS does not act as your attorney or as an attorney for any other party, and it does not advocate or negotiate for either side of a transaction.

No attorney-client relationship

Using NOMOS, creating an account, answering questions, preparing or purchasing a document, requesting support, or communicating with NOMOS does not create an attorney-client relationship. Your communications with NOMOS are not protected by attorney-client privilege merely because they concern a contract or legal subject.

General information, not legal advice

Descriptions, explanations, examples, guides, summaries, and other information made available through NOMOS are general information. They are not a recommendation about your rights, obligations, strategy, or specific circumstances and are not a substitute for advice from a lawyer licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.

Your information, choices, and authority

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, making your own selections, and promptly correcting errors. You must have all rights, permissions, and authority needed to provide information and materials to NOMOS and to prepare, share, negotiate, sign, or use the resulting document. Do not impersonate another person or create a document on behalf of a party you are not authorized to represent.

Review before use

You must read the entire document and confirm that every name, fact, business term, obligation, remedy, and attachment is accurate and acceptable before you rely on, send, or sign it. Do not sign or ask another person to sign a document that you do not understand. Each party should have the opportunity to obtain independent legal advice.

Legal requirements and professional advice

Laws and legal requirements vary by jurisdiction and may change. A transaction may require provisions, disclosures, licenses, approvals, witnesses, notarization, filings, recording, tax advice, or other steps outside the service. A document's legal effect depends on the facts, applicable law, proper execution, and later events. NOMOS does not determine or promise that a document will be legally valid, enforceable, complete, suitable for your circumstances, or produce a particular result. Consult a qualified lawyer before using a document for a regulated, disputed, high-value, international, multi-state, unusual, or legally sensitive matter, or whenever you are uncertain about your rights or obligations.

Submitted materials

You retain any rights you have in information and materials you submit. You authorize NOMOS to host, copy, process, transmit, format, and otherwise use those materials as reasonably needed to provide the service you request, operate security and support functions, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. Submit only material that you are authorized to provide and that is reasonably necessary for your document.

Document correction support

A purchased contract package includes access to the support channel made available in the private workspace. NOMOS may investigate whether a delivered file accurately reflects the information and choices you approved and may correct confirmed document-generation, attachment, cross-reference, or formatting errors at no additional charge. Support does not evaluate enforceability, select contract terms, revise the transaction after approval, provide legal advice or representation, issue a legal opinion, or create an attorney-client relationship. Requests based on new facts, new choices, third-party revisions, negotiation, or legal questions are outside document correction support.

Purchases

Before purchasing, review the price, included items, taxes or fees, delivery information, and any cancellation or refund terms displayed at checkout. The purchase-specific terms presented to you at checkout apply to that purchase. By submitting an order, you authorize the charge shown for the selected items. Nothing in these Terms reduces any cancellation, refund, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited.

Cancellations and refunds

Contract packages are customized digital services prepared from the facts and choices you approve, and generation begins promptly after successful payment. Except where required by law, purchases are final once generation begins. A preference change, a decision not to use the document, a third party's refusal to accept it, or a request to change approved facts or business terms does not by itself qualify for a refund. A refund may be available for a duplicate or unauthorized charge, non-delivery, a confirmed generation defect that NOMOS cannot correct, or another remedy required by law. Submit a request through the private workspace or the support contact shown on the Contact page. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method; banks and card issuers commonly require five to ten business days to display the credit or reversal.

Accounts and security

Provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in credentials and for activity performed through your account by anyone you authorize. Notify NOMOS through the support channel made available in the service if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Do not share access to private documents with unauthorized people.

Permitted and prohibited use

Use NOMOS only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use the service to commit fraud, mislead or harm another person, violate another person's rights, create or distribute unlawful material, interfere with the service, bypass access or security controls, gain unauthorized access, introduce harmful code, scrape or overload the service, or test for vulnerabilities without written permission. You also may not reverse engineer or attempt to discover nonpublic components of the service except to the extent applicable law expressly permits that activity.

Privacy and confidentiality

The NOMOS Privacy Notice explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and handled. Customer contract information is not made public merely because it is submitted to the service. You remain responsible for complying with privacy, confidentiality, recordkeeping, and data-protection duties that apply to you and for keeping copies you download or share secure.

NOMOS content and your limited license

NOMOS and its licensors retain their rights in the service, branding, interface, educational materials, and original content. Subject to these Terms and any required payment, you may use, reproduce, modify, and share completed documents delivered to you as reasonably needed for your own lawful personal or business purposes. This permission does not transfer ownership of the service or allow you to resell, republish, or distribute NOMOS materials as a document library, or to use them to operate a competing document-preparation service.

Third-party services

The service may use or link to third-party services, including payment, authentication, communications, storage, analytics, or delivery providers. When you use a third-party service, that provider's terms and privacy notice may also apply. These Terms govern the NOMOS portion of the service.

Service availability and changes

NOMOS may maintain, update, replace, add, or remove service features and may experience interruptions. If a change materially affects a purchase already completed, NOMOS will address the purchase consistently with the purchase-specific terms and rights that apply by law. Keep your own copies of completed documents and records you need.

Limitation of liability

These Terms do not currently set a dollar cap on the liability of NOMOS or its individual operator, and they do not broadly exclude categories of damages. Nothing in these Terms reduces any right, remedy, warranty, or liability that applicable law does not allow NOMOS to waive or limit. Any future limitation must be stated clearly in revised Terms or purchase-specific terms and presented for affirmative acceptance before it applies.

Dispute resolution

These Terms do not require arbitration, name an exclusive court, waive a jury trial, or choose the law that governs a dispute between you and NOMOS. A dispute is therefore handled under the law and procedures that otherwise apply, including rights that cannot legally be waived or limited. If NOMOS later proposes a dispute-resolution provision, it will be stated clearly in revised Terms and presented for affirmative acceptance before it applies.

Suspension and termination

NOMOS may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, or respond to a material violation of these Terms. NOMOS may terminate access for a material or repeated violation. When reasonably practicable, NOMOS will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Suspension or termination does not eliminate obligations already incurred or rights and remedies that applicable law requires NOMOS or you to retain.

Electronic communications and records

NOMOS may send service, account, purchase, security, and Terms-related notices electronically using the contact information associated with your account or through the service. You are responsible for keeping that information current and may retain copies of notices and these Terms for your records. This section does not replace any separate consent or delivery method required by applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

NOMOS may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the service or legal requirements. If a change is material, NOMOS will present the revised Terms and require a new affirmative acceptance before continued use where appropriate. A revised version does not retroactively change the terms of a completed purchase unless you expressly agree or applicable law permits the change.

Rights that cannot be waived

These Terms do not waive, restrict, or misstate any warranty, remedy, consumer protection, or other right that cannot lawfully be waived or limited. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from contacting a court, regulator, law-enforcement agency, state bar, or other government authority about a concern, or from exercising a right protected by applicable law.

Severability and complete agreement

If a court with authority finds a provision of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be addressed only to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue only to the extent they can lawfully operate. These Terms, together with purchase-specific terms actually presented and accepted at checkout, state the agreement between you and NOMOS about use of the service. They do not alter any contract you enter into with another party using a document prepared through NOMOS.
